Simon Langton School for Boys (The Langton)

In October, 2020 R World Foundation entered into discussions with The Langton and we talked through our ideas to introduce first aid for mental health into schools and universities. Thanks to Ken Moffat, (Head Teacher), Darren Watson (Deputy Head Teacher) and Matt Tithecott (Assistant Head Teacher, Mental Health and Wellbeing), a partnership was formed and Matt who was already a qualified First Aid for Mental Health Instructor has now put plans into place to teach pupils and staff First Aid for Mental Health. The Langton are our pilot school and keen to help us spread the word to other schools nationally.

The University of Nottingham

In October 2020, R World Foundation approached Nick Clare in the Geography Department at UoN and he (plus others from the University of Nottingham) are supporting our work. Nick is our first instructor trained using R World funding and has got firm plans in place to teach his students. He is also persuading other teachers to train so teachers can support each other. We have promoted Nick’s video on our website, as it demonstrates how keen he is to educate young people in mental health first aid.

The King’s School Canterbury

We were so pleased to have been made Charity of the Year, 2021 by The King’s School, Canterbury. Their first fundraiser #Reps4Robbie has been a great success, raising the spirits of everyone in lockdown and also adding to our funds a magnificent £4,300.  Thank you King’s School for your support!

The Gillingham Anchorians Hockey Club

In April 2020, we were delighted to be approached by Harry McDonald, (Head of Junior Coaching for hockey) of the Gillingham Anchorians Hockey Club to form a partnership. Given Robbie’s links with Harry, we are funding a teacher in the club to do the First Aid for Mental Health Instructor training and we are delighted that the Anchorians Hockey Club are fundraising for R World as well as promoting our brand, so that we can train as many teachers as possible.
