The decision about whether to create a foundation to honour my son’s life was easy. Robbie had given so much in his lifetime and had so much more to give so this was the only way forward. I was always in awe of his intelligence, gentle nature and competitive spirit. He was especially helpful to me when his dad passed in January, 2019 and showed such strength. He always seemed to have the right words to pick me up during that difficult year. Now all his wise words are helping me cope with the loss of him.
As well as giving Robbie the legacy he so deserves, I feel motivated to help other young people struggling with their mental health. Robbie would be pleased that we are also honouring his interest in International Development and the High Five Club is a wonderful charity our family have supported for years.
