Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information R World collects about individuals who interact with our organisation. It explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. R World respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we collect and use your data. We will comply with any data protection legislation currently in force.
By visiting our website, using any of our apps, or responding to social media posts, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this notice, so please read it carefully. Any changes we make to this privacy notice will be posted on this page.
Personal Data we process:
R World includes an application for funding from teachers or lecturers who want to do the Mental Health First Aid instructor training. The personal information we collect is only the name of the teacher/lecturer requesting funding, the school they work in and their email address. This information will be stored on an Excel spreadsheet for two years. In addition we have a contact form to enquire into R World and a donation section, both of which ask for a name and email address, and the latter for payment information. Your name and email address will be stored on an Excel spreadsheet for two years. This information is stored so that we can respond to your application in the proper way, and allow you to donate money, receiving a confirmation message for this. These are legitimate interests since we cannot provide a service to you without using your personal information.
How we use your data?
When you supply personal information to us, we are legally obliged by the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 to ensure that the information you have provided is only used for the purpose for which it was intended, and to ensure that the data is kept securely. We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate considering the basis on which that data was collected, as set out above.
Who do we share your data with?
We have no reason to share your personal information with anyone else. We will only pass your data onto 3rd parties if you have provided your explicit consent for us to pass certain data onto a named 3rd party, or if we are required by law to share your data. We have no control over, and are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of these third parties.
How long we keep your data?
Where data is collected on the basis of consent, we will seek renewal of consent at least every 2 years. In all other cases, the data collected is usually minimal and that data is deleted promptly once it is no longer required.
Your rights over your data:
You have a range of rights over your data. Where data has been collected from your consent, you may revoke this consent at any time. You have the right to ask for rectification and/or deletion of your information. You also have the right of access to your information.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner if you feel your rights have been infringed. A full summary of your legal rights over your data can be found on the Information Commissioner’s website: https://ico.org.uk/
Modifications:
We may modify this Privacy Policy and will publish the most current version on our website. If a modification meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify people whose personal data we hold and is affected.
If you have any comments or questions about this policy, feel free to contact us at info@rworld.org.uk.
